THE PIECE
Unlike a faceted stone, the deep blue centerpiece here is cut as a smooth cabochon, domed and polished rather than angled, so it holds light as a soft glow instead of sharp sparkle, with faint cloudy veining visible beneath the surface. It sits oval and substantial at the front of the choker, ringed by a halo of pear-shaped clear crystals, while the same rounded blue stone reappears in smaller form further along the band, each one framed by an angular clear crystal border instead of a matching halo. The gold band beneath is woven in that same dense, herringbone-style mesh, solid and textured against the smoother stones it carries.
