THE PIECE
Three stones, three moments. At the top, a deep petrol-teal stone in a clean emerald cut, small and self-assured on its own. Below it, a round stone with a smoky, mottled finish, closer to weathered mercury glass than a clean crystal, held inside an octagon frame of baguette-cut stones set edge to edge like a ring of tiny mirrors. At the bottom, the largest of the three, a rich sapphire-blue emerald cut, framed in the same baguette halo, anchoring the whole design. Each tier is cut differently, so the eye moves through the earring rather than landing on just one point.
